"Ouiser is a funny snort-monkey. When I get home, the most pitiful cries come out of her crate until I open it! She can jump super-high in excitement for her food. She is affectionate and will sit next to me on the couch, and if the rubbing happens to turn in to a belly rub, even better! She sleeps beside my bed on her bed, or will go steal my big dog's cot! I think with training she is going to be a great dog."

Ouiser (pronounced Weezer) is ready to find her perfect forever home! This sweet brindle girl is looking for an active family where she can be the one and only dog. If you live an active lifestyle and want a Frenchie to join in your adventures, Ouiser could be the one for you!

Ouiser's favorite activities include getting belly rubs, following her favorite person around the house, going for walks, and keeping squirrels out of her yard. She will even keep watch from the windows for squirrels and let those little guys know to step off of "her" grass. Ouiser is a high energy girl that loves to romp around the yard and get her zoomies out. She has also been known to get her zoomies on inside the house. She really gets going and sometimes slides into the wall at the end of the hallway like a bull in a china shop!

It should be noted that one of her other favorite things to do is run out any open door into the neighborhood. Ouiser is a FAST runner and will not come back when called. Her forever family will need to be savvy about going out any door that leads to "freedom." She will shoot out.

The perfect family for Ouiser is one that is willing and able to devote time to her exercise and training. Ouiser needs serious exercise to get all her energy out! Because of her active lifestyle and her need for freedom, a fenced in yard is best. She will be best as an only dog and will not do well with kitties, birds, or other pets. Ouiser would do well in a household with older children as long as they are committed to her training and responsible enough to keep a close eye on her when she is near an exterior door. Ouiser would be great for first time Frenchie owners. She is very treat driven, which is very helpful during her training sessions!

Ouiser is not the type of dog who can be taken to the office because she will try to bolt out of the nearest door. Ouiser is crate trained and doesn’t require a stay-at-home person. For those who work outside of the home and can’t commit to a mid-day break, a dog walker would be required.

Ouiser's foster mom has this to share about her, "Ouiser is a funny snort-monkey.

Ouiser deserves a home where she is the only dog so she can have all the attention. If there is a yard with squirrels to chase, even better! She also loves standing up at window sills or doors to be able to see outside. Your house will be well-guarded with Ouiser around!

If you would like to adopt Ouiser, please be prepared for a road trip! Ouiser is being fostered in South Central Texas and she is too big to fly on a commercial airline. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

About Ouiser:
Ouiser is a resource guarder so must never be around small children and remain an only dog. She must be monitored during feeding and when toys are present. Ouiser has a high prey drive and must never be around cats, birds, or other small animals. Ouiser would benefit from obedience training.
