Say hello to FBRN’s newest addition, Groot! This sweet senior boy was found roaming the streets of New Jersey where he had been abandoned. Groot has had a rough go of things lately, but he’s enjoying the good life now.

Groot weighs in at a wonderful 31 pounds of solid muscle – he is one strong guy! He loves going on walks, enjoys being outdoors, and his bathroom manners are excellent. On a less-than-positive note, Groot has shown some resource guarding when it comes to food. This is understandable considering his past of not knowing when he might get his next meal.

Very soon, Groot will get to take a trip to the vet. There is a growth on his leg that needs to be investigated and he has a swollen and tender ear that will certainly require treatment. It’s obvious that Groot wasn’t living the life of luxury, but he still has a great big grin! He also has the biggest heart and we can’t wait for him to find a forever family to share his love with!
