Everyone’s favorite barista, Gunther, is here to introduce himself to the FBRN family! At just over three years old and 39 pounds (too many scones?), Gunther was surrendered by his former family who was moving to Hawaii for a job opportunity. After much deliberation and thought, they opted to surrender to FBRN instead of putting Gunther through the rigorous mandates of quarantine. This fine chap will be ready to find his best family in no time.

We’re not about to say Gunther is pretty perfect because it’s still early on. What his foster family has noticed: he has a gorgeous, healthy coat, no obvious allergies, is clearly well fed, plays hard and sleeps even harder. His foster family lovingly calls him the flying meatball because 1) he is a bit rotund and 2) his play can be a little rough and rowdy!

Gunther is a playful love of pup who will flop down and roll over for belly rubs. He abhors nail trims and could really forgo the teeth flossing (don’t ask). He’s still settling in, but so far, he’s been nonreactive to strangers and other dogs while out on the town. Once he’s slowly introduced to the resident dogs, we’ll have more to report on how Gunther interacts with others.

While Gunther arrived with some pretty well packed bags from his surrendering family, he would still love to receive some support and words of encouragement; no more unrequited relationships for this fella please.
